With San Fermín All Year Round, we invite you to discover Pamplona’s most famous festival all year round. A guided tour to explore its most iconic sites, its history, and some of the traditions that make San Fermín a unique festival.
For about two hours, we’ll see some of the festival’s most important places and follow the entire route of the Running of the Bulls, from the Santo Domingo Bullpens to the bullring of Pamplona.
We’ll also visit the City Hall Square, the site of the famous Chupinazo that kicks off the festivals every July 6, and the Plaza del Castillo, home to the historic Café Iruña, one of Pamplona’s best-known spots because of Ernest Hemingway.
During the tour, we’ll visit the exterior of the bullring and the Monument to the Running of the Bulls, one of the most iconic sights of San Fermín.
We’ll talk about the history and evolution of the festivals, the origins of some of our traditions, and how San Fermín went from being a local celebration to becoming a festival known around the world.
We’ll also talk about Ernest Hemingway and how his visits to Pamplona and its festivals affected the internationalization of San Fermín.
San Fermín isn’t just about those nine days in July. Behind the festival lie centuries of history, traditions, people, and places that are part of Pamplona’s identity.
That’s why, during the visit, we’ll also be able to explore, if the hours and conditions allow us, the Chapel of San Fermín and the “San Fermín 365” exhibition.
Furthermore, you can stop by a San Fermín photocall to take home a fun photo as a souvenir and feel, for a moment, as if you’d actually run the bull run.
